What a week! Let’s hand out some High-Fives:
🤩 HIGH-FIVE: Dolly Parton & Cullman’s Roy Drinkard for living lives we all need to try to follow. It sure seems like both of them did everything they could to leave things better than they found it. Both passed this week. Dolly was 80. Mr. Drinkard 106. Both left a mark. They will sure be missed.
🤩 HIGH-FIVE: TRUITT NEWS RADIO alum David L. Silverstein and everyone involved in The Tramont development project off Red Mountain Expressway in Birmingham. It’s going to be a fantastic addition with 80 hotel rooms & 15 condominiums.
🤩 HIGH-FIVE: My boy, Zach Truitt, as he started his internship this week with Kingdom Story Company up in Nashville.
🤩 HIGH-FIVE: Downtown Bay Minette, AL as it just keeps getting better & better. They opened the new Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office this week (great job Rolin Construction), Grizzly’s Pizza is opening a new location here (this is their 3rd place), the new Cobblestone Hotels will be open soon, Big Mike’s Steakhouse opened recently, Rogers & Willard, Inc. just completed the new Sally Port at the Baldwin County Courthouse, and a lot more is in the works. Great town. Great people.
🤩 HIGH-FIVE: The The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement in Las Vegas on being named “Best Museum” in Las Vegas Weekly’s 2026 Best of Vegas issue. It’s pretty awesome. If you are ever out there, give it a try.
