…AND NOW IT IS CALLED THE WHITE HOUSE

It was called “The President’s House” and “Executive Mansion” prior to this day, but today – October 17th back in 1901 – our 26th President, Theodore Roosevelt, “officially” changed the name to “The White House”.

Apparently, people had been calling it that beforehand, but Teddy gets the credit for the name change and it stuck!

One of the many things this guy did in his fascinating life.
