✅ The first 2 days of this week have been brutal, first with the news of Roy Drinkard’s passing and, today, Dolly Parton is gone. I’m sad.

🏀 The 1974 UPI All-American First Team was John Shumate (Notre Dame), Marvin Barnes (Providence), David Thompson (NC State), Keith Wilkes (UCLA), and Bill Walton (UCLA). Wow! I would roll that out as my 5 today and see what happens.
✔️ Vanderbilt University has officially opened the new Vanderbilt University–New York City campus. This is pretty fascinating.
🚂 The Amtrak Mardi Gras Service along the Gulf Coast is a massive hit. Since being launched a year ago, they have had 150,000 riders. They had originally hoped for 38,000. Keep it up.

👷 The Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences in Miami continues its climb to 100 floors & 1,049 feet, making it Florida’s first supertall-skyscraper. They are on floor 85 right now and heading up!
