The White Stallion May Be Done
My kids are in school in Nashville.
My youngest, Vince, has the privilege of now driving The White Stallion, the Nissan Pathfinder that is older than he is. It has been a staple with the Truitt family for years.
The Stallion has served us well over the years but we may have reached the end of the road for her.
Last night, Vince drove some friends to a Nashville Opera performance at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center near the state capital. They were doing some school project to get a little culture. Had a great time. Headed back out around 10pm to get back to campus. Car isn’t going anywhere.
The girls find another ride (of course). Vince and his buddy “Jersey Joey” start trying things out. No luck. Time for a tow. No one is able to get there until around 1am. Jersey Joey has some “connections” with a closed restaurant nearby and they are able to wait it out.
A tow truck heads by around midnight. They start chasing it through the empty parking lot. Cops show up. Ask what is up, because from their side of things, when they see people sprinting through a parking .lot in the middle of the night, it usually isn’t good.
Police head off for action other places. Turns out to be the wrong tow truck, too. The right tow truck finally came to get the Stallion. Big brother Zach swung by to pick up the opera-goers and take them back to campus safely.
Will the Stallion ride again? TBD…
