👷 They officially broke ground on building the new Cobblestone Hotels property in Bay Minette, AL. The new one in Foley, AL opened for business a few weeks back.
👀 CONGRATS: the Point Loma Nazarene University Surf Team recently won their 3rd straight National College Championship. Not surprising, really, If you hit a HR at their baseball field, it lands in the Pacific. Very cool!

👷 Enjoyed my quick-trip by the Alabama AGC‘s convention at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa last week.

🍨 Dairy Queen is celebrating 85 years in business this year. I remember when The Blizzard first debuted back in 1985.
🎵 The new Coca-Cola Amphitheater in Birmingham is ready to kick things off this weekend, June 22nd.
🎵 Today in 1989, the folks in Birmingham were enjoying the first City Stages Music Festival. It had a long run and I still miss it.
🏌 Today in 1963, Jack Nicklaus won the U.S. Open Championship, his first major, defeating Arnold Palmer in a playoff at Oakmont Country Club.
