LOUIE LOUIE | October 14, 1992

Today in 1992, a little know band that was starting to get some attention came to see us here in Birmingham to play Louie Louie in 5 Points South.

It was No Doubt led by Gwen Stefani.

They had travelled into town today after playing The Varsity Theatre in Baton Rouge the night before.

Their HUGE breakthrough album, Tragic Kingdom, was still a few years away at this point, so they were still working their way up.

If you were there, that’s a pretty cool memory.

And…we still miss Louie’s! It was the best bar in town.
