HIGH FIVE FRIDAY 3-13-26

HIGH FIVE FRIDAY 3-13-26

I’m with another round of HIGH-FIVES this week for people doing good out there. Here we go:

🤩 HIGH-FIVE: University of Alabama at Birmingham Men’s Golf Team (and our buddy/UAB Asst Golf Coach Jackson Wedgeworth) on their 2nd Place finish earlier this week against a tough field in the Cleveland Golf Palmetto International Tournament in Aiken, S.C.

🤩 HIGH-FIVE: Alabama’s Beaches Sports & Events and the Alabama Gulf Coast as Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism President (and TRUITT NEWS RADIO alum) Beth Gendler, CMP, CDME announced tourists spent more than ever before on lodging & retail in 2025, $1.42b. That is AWESOME!

🤩 HIGH FIVE: Ben Nevins & Jeff Stone on getting inducted into the Alabama AGC Construction Hall of Fame and be celebrated at AGC’s Annual Build South Awards Dinner last night.

🤩 HIGH-FIVE: Atlanta-based Branch Properties LLC is working to bring a grocery store (good chance it would be a Publix Super Markets} to a planned multi-use development in downtown Pensacola. That’s awesome! Lot happening in that area right now.

🤩 HIGH-FIVE: Alabama Department of Transportation on getting the new Pump House Road Bridge open going over Hwy 280 into Cahaba Heights. Great work there!

🤩 HIGH-FIVE: The Vestavia Hills City Schools High School Speech & Debate Team on winning their 5th straight state championship at the recent state tournament. Dynasty!
