✅ Louisiana State University is considering building a new $400,000,000 basketball arena on the site of the current LSU golf course.

⚾ The Southern League title is on the line tonight at Montgomery’s Riverwalk Stadium between the Birmingham Barons and the Montgomery Biscuits Baseball. If the Biscuits win tonight’s game, they are champs. The Barons can force a deciding Game 3 with a win.
🎙️ Looking forward to TRUITT NEWS RADIO this weekend (9/27/25) and hearing from Kimberly Gregson, who was one of the people that discovered a 32-million-year-old sea turtle fossil in South Alabama recently. Show starts at 7AM Saturday on Bham’s Talk 99.5.

👷 UC San Diego is considering building a 40-story college dorm. How cool is that!
📺 Today in 1977, Cheryl Ladd replaced Farrah Fawcett on Charlie’s Angels. It was a big loss for me at the time.
✅ CONGRATS: to sculptor Craigger Browne, on making the cool-looking award plaques for the Alabama Mining Association. This guy is crazy talented working with Sylacauga marble.

👀 CONGRATS: My brother & sister-in-law’s school, Rhodes College, on celebrating 100 years in Memphis after relocating from Clarksville, TN.
✔️ Universal continues to move forward with plans for a 700-acre theme park outside of London, in nearby Bedford. This would be the world’s sixth Universal-branded park if it happens.
📅 SEPT 23, 1806: the Lewis & Clark Expedition made it back to St. Louis from their expedition to the West Coast.
🏈 Today in 2000, UAB (the University of Alabama at Birmingham) knocked off the LSU Tigers coached by Nick Saban.
🎵 SEPT 23, 1952: Hank Williams recorded “Kaw-Liga”.

✅I see where the 2025 Pappy Van Winkle collection release was announced with suggested retail prices ranging from $149.99 for the Old Rip Van Winkle Handmade 10 Year Bourbon to a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve Bourbon 23 Year Old listed for $499.99. It’s possible to find it at these prices. It’s, also, possible I wake up with a head full of hair tomorrow, too. Just not likely.
